Dump Truck Cake

Birthday cake made for a friend's son. This was my first paid cake! I had a hard time with this one. I ended up pulling the fondant off once and recarving the cake...The truck sides are made from gumpaste and the dirt was actually mashed up cake scraps and frosting. The cones are fondant.

Thanks you guys! I love doing this and praise is always welcome... ;)

Michelle, I'm also relatively new at this and I'm kind of making it up as I go along! But I do love it and have been getting more and more cake orders! Sometimes I have to pinch myself... :)

If I have any tips, I'll definitely post them! Oh, and "Cake Boss" is awesome. :)

In the early 1900s, in America, trucks were an afterthought and were being assembled using surplus car parts. John Mack changed all of this.
