For my daughter's fourth birthday, she requested a Hello-kitty-princess-doctor cake. Might as well cram all your favorite things into one cake, right? Fortunately, I was able to talk her out of the princess part...
So, we ended up with this! She is quite happy with it. Although she did have to tell me that Hello Kitty did not really look like Hello Kitty, but it was close enough.
Thanks, Delaney. Appreciate that...

Dirt!
The request? A pile of dirt. I was thinking, OK! Easy! I can do a pile of dirt! Then came the rest of the request...a fondant 4-wheeler, dirt bike, shotguns, a football and a skull. Oh...
But I survived. I actually enjoy making all the little figurines out of fondant, so this was a fun one. Time consuming, but a lot of fun. And it made for a happy four year old boy!

Rockies Cake
A birthday cake for an 8year old Rockies fan! It went through many incarnations...
But the bat...looked...well. Fleshy. And um... non-bat like. And my husband laughed when he saw it. An obvious sign that something needed to be done. It was his idea to use the pennant. Smart man.
